Procedural Scheduler at Providence St Vincent. This position is a 1 FTE Day shift.

The Spec-Surgery Scheduling is accountable for scheduling various complex Surgical and Medical procedures by obtaining appropriate surgical procedure, specialized equipment, and other specialized resources, implants and current/historical medical information (i.e., ICD10 Coding, Medical History, including allergies and Patient Demographic Profile). Complexity of this position is evidenced by the use of simple and complex medical terminology and enterprise scheduling protocols. Surgical Scheduling Specialist must also think independently and make relatively complex decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: intermediate Medical Terminology and Physical Anatomy coursework. Or equivalent educ/experience.

• 3 years Medical office or hospital experience in surgery field.

• Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Business or college courses.
