Manager Medical Staff Services - Medical Staff Administration Department at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA

Under the general direction of the Chief Medical Affairs/CMO and the reporting to the Director Medical Staff Services, the Mgr-Medical Staff Services is responsible for direction and oversight of the Medical Staff Services department for the region. This includes credentialing and re-credentialing, planning, organizing, leading, implementing, monitoring and evaluating department functions at the administrative level including day to day fiscal management, Medical Staff meeting management and the flow of information from Medical Staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee to the Board of Directors.

Shift Details: Full-time, Day shift, 40 hours every week

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree From an accredited educational institution. Or equivalent educ/experience.

  • within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Affiliation with the National Association Medical Staff Services and the Washington Association Medical Staff Services.

  • 5 years Medical Staff experience.

  • 3 years Progressively responsible supervisory or management experience.

  • 1 year Performance Improvement experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • upon hire: Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMS) by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS).
