Description

Position is responsible for managing the day departmental duties on his/her assigned shift. In so doing he/she is responsible for ensuring that the other Officers on the shift completed all duty assignments before the end of the shift. Maintains a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors and employees. May be required to provide assistance in patient restraints in the age groups of adolescents, young, middle and older adults, by following the direction of the nurse in charge.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement

• California Security Guard Registration upon hire

• 1 year Internal Public Safety experience, or 2 years of external Public Safety (aka Security) or Military experience (if Honorably Discharged) with progressive responsibilities
