Lead Security Officer - Centralia (Full-Time/Days)

$2500 sign-on bonus for eligible external hire that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

The Security Sergeant plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patient, visitors, and staff within the hospital environment. With direct oversight of an assigned team of security officers, the Sergeant works under the supervision of the Security Supervisor and reports to the Security Manager with the responsibilities of maintaining a balanced flow of work within the department, responding to calls for service, enforcing hospital and department policies, and procedures, while maintaining a working knowledge of all applicable state and federal law related to security operations.

Responsible for providing excellent leadership, direction, and a working environment that promotes teamwork, officer development, and customer satisfaction. Ensure that the standards of service are met and exceeded for the Security Department in a manner consistent with our mission, vision, and values. Responsible for assisting in developing and managing effective orientations, training materials, and assessments of skills and competencies. May be required to assist with maintaining records, and security data reports.

Responsible for having advance knowledge on Security Access Control programs and systems, to include badge operations, access control, surveillance systems, software, and hardware.

Required Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED

• Driving may be necessary as part of this role upon request. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

• A minimum of 3 years of current experience as a Providence Southwest Region Security Officer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 1 year previous law enforcement or military training
