Description

Lead Patient Sitter at Providence Office Park (Full-time and Day shift)

The Telesitter Lead works directly with department Patient Safety Techs and closely with nursing staff at all Oregon Ministries in many departments to support continuous close observation and surveillance of monitored patients. To promote patient safety, the Telesitter Lead will verbally redirect the patient from engaging in a risky behavior and notifies nursing staff when the patient requires assistance by communication device or STAT alert alarm function as appropriate. They will address safety concerns by speaking up in the moment and escalating the chain of command as necessary. Collaborates with the ministry house supervisors and department charge nurses to facilitate remote visual monitoring discharges and admissions, this includes report and distribution of assignments.

Required Qualifications:

  • upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

  • 1 year Telesitter experience.

  • 1 year Office experience in a medical setting.
