Laboratory Assistant - St Mary Medical Center-Walla Walla, WA

The Lab Assistant is responsible for completing and maintaining competency in specimen processing and packing, phlebotomy, and client services. Assists in the pre-analytical phase of select testing. Upholds laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, safety standards, and infection control standards. Mentors and trains students and employees. Performs other duties as assigned.

Shift details: Full time, Night shift,10 Hour Daily Overtime 40 Hour Week

Required qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training program.

  • upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.

  • 2 years Previous phlebotomy experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years Previous phlebotomy experience.
