Description

As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, the Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) participates in the development of an integrated plan of care and provides direct nursing care to our frail elderly participants. The RN's responsibilities including nursing assessments, care planning, interventions, medication administration/management, treatments, nurse delegation and patient teaching. The Registered Nurse utilizes nursing judgment and documents findings in accordance with agency policies. Performs nursing duties primarily in the community but may be called upon to deliver services in other care settings including the Center and Clinic. Under the direction of the primary care physician, provides oversight to licensed practical nurses, nursing aides and nursing students who are implementing the plan of care.

Required qualifications:

• Education sufficient for licensure
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire - if working in this location
• 1 year of Long term care or geriatric nursing
• 1 year of Working with the frail and elderly

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
