Providence is Hiring a CDI Nurse Educator Near Seattle, WA

Description

The CDI Educator assists the CDS team in meeting revenue, quality, and productivity goals and objectives by identifying opportunities for continuous quality improvement and knowledge advancement. Involved with testing and education on system upgrades and new system implementations. Conducts regular reviews to identify educational opportunities within the CDI team and providers to ensure consistency and compliance with state and national standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

  • Oregon Registered Nurse License within 30 days of hire.

  • 8 years of RN with CDI experience in a multi-hospital integrated delivery network health system

  • 5 years of ICD-10 experience and/or understanding.

  • 5 years understanding of MS-DRG and APR-DRG assignment and fundamentals of establishing a DRG.

  • 5 years of Clinical experience in an acute care setting

  • 2 years of experience with EPIC, Meditech, Iodine, JATA Guide, 3M 360 or similar applications

  • 2 years knowledge base of current technological trends and developments in healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - Master of Science in Nursing.

  • Clinical Documentation Integrity Certification within 30 days of hire.
