This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Senior Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Associate Medical Assistant works under the delegation of a licensed practioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An MA I is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Medical Assistant works under the delegation of a licensed practioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Senior Medical Assistant works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.

Associate Medical Assistant

Required Qualifications:

  • Training in a clinic setting as a medical assistant.

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

  • 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

  • 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).

Associate Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $15.14, Max: $23.59

Medical Assistant

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam.

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • 6 months Healthcare experience

  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $16.41, Max: $25.55

Senior Medical Assistant

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam.

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  • 2 years medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.

  • 2 years' Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

  • 6 months Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Senior Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Min: $17.20, Max: $27.35
