Description

Associate Biomedical Technician - St Patrick Hospital-Broadway Bldg-Missoula, MT

The Associate Biomedical Technician is responsible for installation, electrical safety inspections, periodic maintenance, performance testing and major and minor repairs of medical equipment in assigned areas of the hospital, as well as external/retail clients. The Associate Biomedical Technician operates sophisticated test equipment and instrumentation for inspections, performance tests, and periodic maintenance/repairs of medical equipment. The testing data acquired from said testing is analyzed and may be prepared reports.

The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position. The caregiver must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. The degree of fluency required will vary depending upon the nature of the position. Caregivers are expected to honor the Mission, Values, Vision and Promise and adhere to the Code of Conduct, policies and standards of their organization. For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

  • Gathers pertinent information associated with caregiver issues, needs & requirements, and communicates thoroughly to other IS organizations (both Providence and vendors) during ticket handoff in order to minimize customer interruptions and avoid duplicate information requests.

  • Develops and maintains solid working relationships with all impacted users within the areas that they support.

  • Quickly learns new information as needed, whether it is knowledge required for solving a problem, or simply a new skill.
