Job Description:
As a Paralegal in our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys by providing comprehensive case management, from initial consultation through resolution. Your expertise in workers' compensation law, coupled with a meticulous approach to case preparation and documentation, will contribute significantly to our firm's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Summarization: Efficiently summarize cases and prepare detailed reports for attorneys, highlighting key facts and legal issues.
- Research & Legal Arguments: Conduct thorough legal research, investigate case facts, and assist in developing compelling legal arguments.
- Document Drafting: Draft various legal documents, including contracts, depositions, pleadings, and other essential legal correspondence.
- Court Filings: Prepare and manage the filing of all court documents, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Document Management: Organize and maintain case files, both for ongoing and completed cases, ensuring efficient document retrieval and archival.
- Legal Updates: Stay abreast of the latest developments in workers' compensation law, ensuring the firm and its clients benefit from up-to-date legal advice.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a paralegal role, specifically handling workers' compensation claims.
- Paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal database software and other legal technology tools.
- Strong ability to prepare legal reports and adhere to strict deadlines.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory, provided the candidate possesses relevant experience.
