Providence Place of Chambersburg is seeking to recruit a dynamic, well rounded secured Dementia Support Director (Connections Program Director). This candidate will provide caring leadership to our co-workers, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and oversee the daily operations of this department. The Dementia Support Director (Connections Neighborhood) will be a mentor, leader, problem solver and passionate about individuals living with dementia. 

This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality of care. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Mentoring and leadership of a team of Resident Life Associates and activities staff
• Meeting with and communicating with families regarding resident’s care and services
• Learning about the residents’ background to create customized support plans
• Oversight of the residents’ activities and dining programs
• Providing dementia training to all coworkers
• Collaboration with nursing department to ensure residents’ health and wellness.

Requirements:

• Education: prefer college degree in Recreation Therapy / Human Services and/or two (2) years of equivalent work experience in field. Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Certification / License: Valid driver's license; must have a clean driving record with no major violations over the past five (5) years. Capability to drive / operate 14 passenger vans.
• Experience: prior experience with residents with dementia, prior experience in small group socialization and programming preferred.
• Proven management experience

Salary: $60K-70K
