POSITION– Residential Support Counselor/Coordinator
ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: Providence Pass is one of America’s elite residential therapeutic programs and education centers for at-risk youth. We are currently serving young women ages 13 to 17. Located near Walt Disney World, Providence Pass offers year-round residential care in a first class setting. We have approximately 22 students.
WEEK DAY WORK SCHEDULE AVAILABLE:
Full-Time Positions (4 Day Work Schedule):Residential Support Coordinator:
OPEN POSITION AVAILABLE
Position A:Wednesday (3 p.m. - 10 p.m.), Thursday (2 p.m. - 10 p.m.), Friday (3 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), and Saturday (8 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.).(Sunday - Monday - Tuesday OFF DAYS)
Position B:Sunday (6 a.m. - 10 p.m.), Monday (3 p.m. - 10 p.m.), Tuesday (2 p.m. - 10 p.m.), and Wednesday (3 p.m. - 10 p.m.).(Thursday - Friday - Saturday OFF DAYS)
Weekday Part-Time Position Shift (30 Hours):Residential Support Counselor
Monday thru Friday (6 a.m. - 10 a.m.)

Sunday (6 a.m. - 2 p.m.) and (2 p.m. - 10 p.m.)
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer 2 years of direct care experience in a residential environment with at-risk youth, counseling experience or other similar experience
- Willingness and a calling to work in a faith-based environment and uphold those values with students
- A compassionate heart committed to the mentoring and nurturing of teen girls with patience, positivity and a focus on working their program to be reunited with their families.
- Maintain good judgment at all times
- Ability to follow established guidelines
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training – 20 hours per year
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to adapt to varying environmental conditions
- Show initiative and maintain an attitude of flexibility
- Willing to submit to a background check
- Ability to drive a 15-passenger van
- Valid Driver’s License – clean driving record for last 3 years
- Have or willing to get First Aid and CPR certification
- Bachelor's / Masters Level
- Ability to or experience with working in stressful and challenging situations
- Ability to or experience with de-escalating situations and managing crisis
- Able to work holidays if students are in residence on your scheduled shift
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to encourage and mentor the spiritual development of the students
- Execute the daily operations of the residential program
- Facilitate intake and exit operations
- Model appropriate behavior
- Follow guidelines to administer consequences as needed
- Monitor student behavior, activities, free-time, and interactions with other students
- Oversee and administer medication responsibilities in a digital system
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of each child
- Update case notes on a daily basis in an online system
- Conduct body checks or drug tests as needed
- Develop a rapport with students and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
- Ability to work in stressful and challenging situations
- Ability to de-escalate conflicts
- Demonstrate a goal driven and success-oriented philosophy
- Meet and exceed all accreditation standards
- Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skill building activities
- Prepare and serve weekend meals – maintain sanitation standards
- Provide timely and effective parent communication – collect and review parent updates
- Complete incident reports and any other required paperwork
- Work separately as needed when situations call for one parent to be offsite with or without students
- Stay awake overnight to monitor students
- Provide 1x1 safety care
- Drive a 15-passenger van – if needed
- Comfortable around animals
- Collaborate with academic and therapeutic team members
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
