Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting the Activities Director in planning and implementing engaging activities and programs for our residents in the memory care program, and assisting with traditional assisted living programming, as needed.

Your role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life and promoting social interaction among our senior residents.

Responsibilities:
- implement a comprehensive schedule of activities and events that cater to the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our memory care residents.
- Collaborate with Resident Care Director and the Wellness Nurse team to support assisted living residents with unique geri-psychological challenges, and develop programs that will engage them in a therapeutic manner.
- Organize special events, holiday celebrations, and themed parties to promote a sense of community
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in activity programs
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure their involvement in the planning process
- Stay updated on current trends in senior care, recreational therapy, and memory care practices

Skills:

_ Experience and/or training as a social worker

_ Experience and/or training to work with a geripsych population
- Experience working in assisted living or nursing home settings
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and plan events
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors
- Knowledge of social work principles or recreational therapy techniques is a plus

Pay: $20.15 - $24.27 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
