PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our faculty. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment that reflects the core values of our institution. As a teacher at Providence, you will have the opportunity to inspire and guide students on their academic journey while instilling a strong sense of social responsibility and moral character.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the school's curriculum and values.
· Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes active student participation and critical thinking.
· Incorporate the values of Dignity, Justice, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence into daily teaching practices and interactions with students.
· Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and personal growth.
· Implement a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
· Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress.
· Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to a positive school culture.
· Teach up to 5 sections, including all levels of Cinema Arts courses
· Work with the Department Chair to design and refine curriculum within the Program
· Work with students to develop short films from concept to final production
· Guide students in entering projects into film festivals and competitions outside of school
· Work with the Associate Principal of Partnerships and Impact to create and foster meaningful partnerships with studios and industry professionals, as well as college and university film and media programs, with an eye toward mentorship and career readiness.
· Direct and facilitate co-curricular program events such as orientations, middle school summer camp, film festival showcases, etc.
· Collaborate with Cinema Arts Tech Coordinator to manage, maintain, and train students to use program equipment and platforms.
· Participate in annual professional development to keep current with filmmaking trends, techniques, and equipment.
· Works with seniors applying to film schools with supplemental application materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field, teaching credential (Master's degree preferred).
· Professional experience in film, media, or television preferred
· Experience teaching Cinema/Film/Media in a high school setting, preferably in a college preparatory environment.

· Strong interpersonal, storytelling, and communication skills.
· Dedication to fostering a nurturing and respectful learning environment.
SALARY RANGE:
$65,000 - $106,500
