Providence Health is Hiring a Pharmacy Buyer Near Oregon, OR

Description

The Pharmacy Buyer acts as a coordinator for the purchase of pharmaceuticals; maintains efficient system(s) for ordering, receiving, managing and reconciling discrepancies in inventory; minimizes standing inventory with appropriate turn-over to avoid out-dating; maintains an adequate, cost-effective supply of drugs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician Or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
  • Upon hire: In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) background check is required for this position. (for Seaside only)
  • 6 months Healthcare purchasing/inventory control experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in medical terminology.
  • 3 years Pharmacy technician experience in retail or institutional pharmacy practice.
