Description Associate Phlebotomist - CLINICAL LABORATORY - Everett Medical Ctr Colby-Everett(HR) SCHEDULE: 0.6 FTE, Day Shift, Variable every other weekend/Variable days during the week Provides information and reports regarding laboratory testing and results. This position assists in-house and outside clients/patients with questions on lab orders, specimen requirements, reference testing, and lab reports. This position acts as the liaison between the Lab and other departments and clients. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Providence Regional Medical Center Everett received the HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence four years in a row. Responsible for phlebotomy and processing of appropriate samples for testing, to include: 1) computer inquiry and entry to maintain patient demographics as well as test ordering details in multiple computer systems in accordance with compliance guidelines; 2.) Processing and preparing samples for testing at PRMCE laboratories and Patient Service Centers. 3.) Processing, preparing and packaging samples for delivery to reference labs. Work is conducted in accordance with all regulatory accreditation agency requirements. Processes all specimen types and sources to be analyzed by the laboratory including blood, urine, cultures and other body fluids. Phlebotomy procedures are required which includes venous and capillary punctures, and urine collections for medical and legal testing procedures (Legal collections depending on location).
