Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant to join our team for a contract 3-4 month coverage. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial analysis and cost accounting, with proficiency in Sage 500 accounting software. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions. Responsibilities: Perform financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Develop and maintain cost accounting processes to accurately track and analyze manufacturing costs. Monitor inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and accounting records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide recommendations to optimize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Sage 500 accounting software, including troubleshooting and user support. Provide training and guidance to finance team members on cost accounting principles and Sage 500 functionality. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis and cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Sage 500 accounting software or similar ERP systems. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
