Providence Health & Services is Hiring a Driver/Patient Transportation Coordinator - PACE/ElderPlace Near Hillsboro, OR

Job Description
$2,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Job Description:
The Patient Driver/Transportation Coordinator picks up and delivers geriatric, frail and/or physically limited Elder Place participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending upon the individual geriatric participants needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 90 days of hire.
  • 5 years - Driving experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • 2 years - Driving experience, which includes:
    • Driving a large passenger van or small bus.
    • 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs.
  • 1 year - Experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

About the Team
Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.
HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life. Our service lines include assisted living/skilled nursing/rehabilitation, home health, home infusion/pharmacy services, home medical equipment, hospice and palliative care, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), personal home services/private duty care and supportive housing.
