Description
Job Title: Facilities Coordinator
Reports to: Business/Operations Manager
Location: Central Office Gilbert, AZ
Contract: None, 12 month calendar
Pay range: DOE
Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join the Central Office Team. This position will work closely with the purchasing function to ensure all business operations needs and goals for the organization are met.
Responsibilities:
  • Support facilities and transportation teams with purchases and contacting vendors
  • Coordinates the creation, management, and maintenance of all policies and procedures relating to facilities to ensure they are safe and in proper repair
  • Create, manage, and maintain capital, repair, and preventative maintenance plans for each of the schools. This includes assisting in gathering bids with outside contractors for various projects
  • Coordinates with transportation supervisor to ensure buses and vehicles are safe and in proper repair.
  • Coordinates with landscaping contractors to ensure school grounds are safe and properly maintained
  • Coordinates with janitorial contractor to ensure school buildings are in proper order and clean
  • Provide support, training, and processes for facilities and custodial site employees
  • Coordinates the negotiation and management of all maintenance and operation vendor contracts to ensure proper pricing and standards
  • Ensure all permits and safety codes are maintained and up to date
  • Manage facilities and transportation software including training of all users
  • Manage facilities and transportation budgets
  • Adhere to all Benjamin Franklin policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in Facilities, Transportation, Office Administration, Business or related field
  • Skilled Excel user
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, etc.
  • Strong business practice knowledge
  • Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator
  • Strong time manager with respect for deadlines
  • Ability to identify errors and solve problems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must possess clean driving record and be able to obtain an MVR
  • Must be able to obtain an IVP Card
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Duties may include frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to approximately 25 pounds. Employees may be required to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally.
