Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and academic programs within a middle and high school setting. This role involves providing leadership to teachers, managing student affairs, and collaborating with administrators to ensure the smooth functioning of the school. The Middle /High School Team Leader plays a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment, academic excellence, and student success. A Middle/High School Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the academic and overall success of students during their middle and high school years. This role requires effective leadership, instructional expertise, and a commitment to creating a nurturing and engaging educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Educational Leadership:

• Implement and communicate the school's educational vision and mission to staff, students, and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and align curriculum, ensuring it meets educational standards and goals.
• Support professional development initiatives for faculty and staff.

2. Staff Supervision and Development:

• Train, and evaluate middle and high school teachers.
• Conduct regular observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching practices.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment among staff members.

3. Student Engagement and Support:

• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student well-being and academic success.
• Monitor student attendance, behavior, and academic progress.
• Address disciplinary issues and implement appropriate interventions when necessary.

4. Curriculum and Instructional Management:

• Ensure the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
• Review and update curriculum materials, textbooks, and resources.
• Monitor and analyze student performance data to make informed instructional decisions.

5. Parent and Community Engagement:

• Maintain open and transparent communication with parents, providing updates on students' progress and school activities.

• Collaborate with parent-teacher associations and engage the community in school events and initiatives.

6. Administrative Duties:

• Manage school facilities, ensuring they are safe and conducive to learning.
• Prepare reports and documentation required for school compliance.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Stay informed about educational trends, research, and best practices.
• Lead and participate in school improvement initiatives 
• Implement strategies to enhance the overall quality of education within the middle and high school.

Applicants must have the ability to participate in tasks that require moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).

Hours of work may vary. Typical schedules are set between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors' Degree
  • Several years of experience in education, preferably in a middle or high school setting.
  •  Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of middle and high school curriculum, teaching methods, and educational standards.
  •  Familiarity with education laws and regulations.
  •  Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  •  Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for middle and high school students

Essential Requirements:

• Must pass level II background screening

.• Must have a strong passion for working with children.

• Must be reliable and maintain acceptable attendance.

• Must be coachable.

• Must be an active team player
