Providea Health Partners is Hiring a Nurse Educator Near Mokena, IL

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and vibrant nurse educator to enhance our obesity medicine program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and assisting their patients in achieving success in their weight loss journey using a multi-disciplinary approach to developing life long wellness. Previous experience as a nurse educator, particularly in the areas of diabetes or weight management preferred.

Duties:
- Monitor patient progress through regular visits to the clinic
- Determine clinical interventions necessary for improved success following protocols from medical director including medication management, laboratory value monitoring, counseling intervention and physical activity planning.
- Provide guidance and support to patients as a resource in managing weight loss over the lifetime
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop educational strategies and resources
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical practices and technologies
- Assess the learning needs of the patient panel and develop customized educational plans
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments and feedback

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in endocrinology, primary care of OB/Gyn preferred
- In-depth knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate others
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in using technology for educational purposes
