Mandatory Skills: Read/interpret cardiac rhythms, nurses validate the monitor techs interpretation

Required Certifications: BLS, Completion of an approved basic arrhythmia course

Beds: PCU 33 beds, med surg 32 beds (10 patients at a time can be monitored on the med/surg floor)

Receptionist Available: 7am to 7pm daily

Telemetry Monitoring: central monitoring in hospital located on PCU

Nursing Reading and Interpreting Strips: Monitor tech will read and interpret strips

Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4 PCU 1:5 med/surg

Tech to Patient Ratio: 1: 40
