Job Summary:
Job Type: Full time / Perm
Shift Schedule: Three 10-hour shifts (typically 8am-6pm), plus one 5-hour shift and up to 2 nights on call.
Job Description:
This position is part of an intensive care team that focuses on assessment and safety planning for those at the greatest risk of danger to self or others or grave disability due to mental illness.
This includes crisis assessments and ongoing clinical support services to allow individuals with serious mental illness to continue living in their community and disrupt emergency out-of-area hospitalizations as much as possible.
Requirements and Qualifications:
A Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field.
Two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor.
Knowledge of DSM-V disorders and most efficacious treatments, good communication skills and writing abilities.
Alaska licensure as a LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or Psychologist.
BLS Certification.
