Position Summary 

The Master Planner is responsible to oversee process of combining divisions Sales, Inventories, Operations, Planning, and Forecast (SIOP) process with intentions to achieve or exceed customer delivery expectations. Drives SIOP process and utilizes this information to oversee and improve the planning process to fit changing needs of the customer and business. Must possess skills to communicate daily with Sales to determine priorities and focus, then effectively relaying this information to the organization to best drive manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of various business functions into cohesive planning strategies.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently manage resources, including personnel, materials, equipment, and time, to meet project deadlines and operational targets. Identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize resource distribution. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various departments, including operations, logistics, sales, and production to align planning efforts and ensure seamless coordination across the organization.
• Communication: Effectively communicate planning strategies, and performance metrics to management at all levels. Prepare and present comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations to management.

• Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive planning initiatives. Analyze performance metrics, trends, and historical data to optimize resource allocation and project execution.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks that could impact project timelines and outcomes. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure projects stay on track despite challenges.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage D365, planning tools, and other relevant technologies to enhance planning accuracy, facilitate communication, and automate routine tasks.
• Team Leadership: Assist the Supply Chain Manager with guidance of the Buyer/Planner team, mentorship, and support to planning teams. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. 
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. Implement best practices and innovative methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in strategic planning in a complex and dynamic environment, preferably within the Wire and Cable Industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft D365 ERP Platform, required. Preferably 2 years. 
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with interdepartmental teams and effectively conveying complex concepts.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions.
