The Associate Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of operating systems for workstations and servers.
Working under the instruction of the Sr. Network / Systems Administrator, responsibilities include scheduling and performing software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software packages, audits of hardware and software to ensure compliance with organization guidelines, study existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production, setting up user accounts on organization's servers, running necessary system backups, providing technical support to end users and troubleshooting problems on local area networks (LAN) and remote locations.
