The Packaging Room Lead will work with the Production Coordinator to oversee a team in the execution of the production schedule. The results must be achieved with focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Packaging Room Lead will also be responsible for training, coaching, and overall room safety.

Responsibilities:

· First shift, 6:30am – 3:15pm Monday – Friday with extended hours and Saturday work as needed.

· Coordinate daily schedule with the Production Coordinator and management.

· Communicate daily scheduling needs to the Production Associates.

· Lead and support the Production Associates in day to day operations in the Multi & Single Stage Packaging areas.

· Maintain safe environment in the Multi Stage /Single Stage Packaging areas.

· Ensure that current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s) and Standard Operation Procedure’s (SOP’s) are being followed.

· Report any production issues, such as material shortages, to the Production Coordinator.

· Perform routine checks for accuracy of all completed paperwork.

· Setup labeling equipment for Packaging.

· Train new Production Associates.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must have transportation.
• At least 2 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs and stand for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to analyze data and work with a high level of accuracy.

· Demonstrate organizational skills to handle multiple activities.

· Demonstrate attention to detail in documentation.

· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 per hour
