POSITION PURPOSE

Small scale project management, intermediate to advanced technical skills and very good communications skills are keys to success. Oversees deployments of enhancements and upgrades for application programs used in the company.

Performs day-to-day production support for applications, DBMS; diagnoses problems; resolves production issues. Tests, implements, and communicates required enhancements. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Work closely with other technology members to ensure quality of monitoring 
• Should be capable of assisting in development of test plans and execution of tests
• Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to users or management. 
• Contribute technical documentation and application procedures
• Provide application support
• Assures problem calls are tracked, routed properly, and closed 
• Assure compliance to change management and security policies 
• Control both access to production and deployments

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has not supervisory roles.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information systems or equivalent work experience

Experience Required:

Minimum of 4 years administration experience in Windows environments (desktop and server)

Experience with MS SQL, MS Access, Crystal Reports and Business Intelligence tools

Some experience with banking applications a plus

Must have 4 years’ experience with intermediate to complex Windows environment, and direct involvement in troubleshooting system 

 Skills/Abilities:

Must have good communication skills, with experience in direct client support preferred 

Must have sense of urgency and ownership to support financial applications, with architectural and system component knowledge preferred

Experience with managing technical projects/change is a plus. 

2-5 years’ experience in the Financial & Banking industry preferred

Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills

Proficiency using various Microsoft desktop products and Windows OS

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail and accuracy

Must have good communication skills (both written and verbal)

Must be willing to work after-hours

Must work well in a team environment

Must be able to interface with users and vendors
