POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for auditing 100% of all closed and cancelled loans to ensure compliance with investor and company guidelines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Analyze loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure loan packages are shipped by deadline
• Review signed loan documents for compliance with federal, state, and company laws and regulations
• Adhere to FHA/VA/USDA, and other investor guidelines and procedures
• Ensure all HMDA data input is accurate for LAR purposes
• Communicate any discrepancies found within a closed loan file and coordinate solutions for resolve
• Develop preventative strategies to minimize audit errors
• Disposition all Application Approved not Accepted loans as well as pre-qual loans
• Full review and audit of Denial Loans for documentation and disposition quality/accuracy
• Review all loan files to verify accuracy and completeness of both purchase and refinance transactions prior to closing/Funding (FHA/VA/Conv/USDA)
• Check for compliance with established regulations and guidelines pertaining to borrower and property eligibility, qualifying income, and debt ratios
• Obtain and/or coordinate all investor pre-purchase conditions prior to loan purchase
• Perform related duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school graduate or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Knowledge of Mortgage Compliance.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 or more years’ experience in Mortgage loan Quality Control File auditing.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent communication and public relations skills.Detailed oriented with strong organizational and follow through skills, strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, ability to work with limited supervision.
