Prosperity Bank is Hiring a Cloud & Communication Services Manager (Full Time) - Plano Near Plano, TX

POSITION PURPOSE

The Cloud and Communications Services Manager leads and directs the team through architecture, planning, design, implementation, and support of the bank infrastructure. The Cloud and Communications Services Manager drives innovation and efficiency increases by exploring and using proven, modern technologies and management tools. In addition to leading the network\telecom teams, this role will also require hands-on management, as our managers are working managers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Plan and collaborate with other IT and IS managers on all required IT security reviews of the applications identified for cloud migration.
  • Own the program budget and ensure traceability of the program spend.
  • Understand PMI/ITIL – Service Management / Cloud Infrastructure as a service best practice into the organization.
  • Helps to identify priorities and resource requirements for each project or program.
  • Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to Cloud management to ensure successful delivery of projects into Cloud ecosystem.
  • Prepare assigned project resources with necessary project-related information, ensuring proper understanding of project requirements, roles & responsibilities, work processes, and success criteria.
  • Implement the necessary project management infrastructure (project plans, issues list, communication plans)
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers / administrators, to proactively and cost effectively meet the growing needs of the business.
  • Continuously develop and implement system management standards.
  • Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization of resources.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and data protection measures are implemented and adhered to
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure network policy, controls, and procedures are maintained throughout team. 
  • Monitor and report upon network performance and capacity using our internal monitoring tools.
  • Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance. 
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for network performance and functionality improvements. 
  • Implement and maintain required levels of network security. 
  • Forecast system demands and recommends upgrades, expansions, and reconfigurations. 
  • Follow and be an advocate for the change management processes. 
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, takes appropriate corrective action and/or interacts with IT staff or vendors in performing complex testing, support, network/ router recovery, and troubleshooting functions. 
  • Collaborate with peers to proactively identify potential issues and areas of improvements in existing network environment. 
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes according to business priorities and production availability requirements. 
  • Escalation of network issues to Senior IT Management. 
  • Be available to be on call as needed for problems and incidents (after hours, weekend work often required during off hours maintenance windows)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and solution presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 Leadership Requirements:

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align cloud and communication initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Utilize capability to drive results in oneself and others, ability to manage time, resources, and priorities. You will develop plans to work through adversity and consistently meet deadlines and produce effective results.
  • Communicate effectively in all business relationships and through various levels of management in a clear and direct manner requiring strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and teamwork traits. They will be able to build solid working relationships across functional boundaries with the capacity to work through difficult issues in an effective and pragmatic manner.
  • Provide team leadership, advanced system administration, operational support, and problem resolution for a large complex network environment. 
  • Assign tasks, track time, manage projects, conduct workflow analysis, and perform team status reporting. 
  • Conduct team meetings. 
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 plus years related experience with 3 years in leadership role. CCNP or higher certification preferred with experience.
  • Experience working in a multi-vendor infrastructure environment.
  • 7 years Project Management experience with large and complex enterprises
  • Proven track record of delivery across Cloud / IaaS / PaaS related projects and programs of work
  • Extensive knowledge of communication systems, protocols, and technologies, including VoIP, email, and collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices for cloud and communication systems
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery
  • Strong understanding of and experience in infrastructure architecture and a high awareness of information security models, information systems, network, SAN, virtualization, and traditional data center skills
  • Ability to provide a planned migration to cloud services in line with the infrastructure-as-a-Service strategic direction.
  • Ability to undertake tasks in a dynamic environment including meeting deadlines, demonstrating commitment to customer service, working with limited supervision and adhering to workplace standards, procedures and agreements.
  • Understand and leverage network, server, and monitoring system APIs (Cisco, F5, HP) to automate provisioning.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent or business discipline or related experience
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Experience with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco switches, routers, and ASA firewalls.
  • WAN technologies including MPLS, PPP, VPN, etc.
  • VLAN management and routing
  • LACP/Etherchannel (in switching)
  • Static and Advanced routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, etc.
  • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
  • High Availability Protocols (HSRP, etc).
  • Deep knowledge of layers 1 – 4 of the OSI model. Working knowledge of layers 5 – 7.
  • Experience with network load balancing, proxies, and network analyzer technologies.
  • A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
  • Common network monitoring and security utilities such as SolarWinds NPM, NCM, IPAM.
  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management, with expertise in platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

 SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to cope with stress inherent to supporting 24x7 operations and time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Ability to identify and protect sensitive information.
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer presentation skills
