Overview:

As an Airport Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of airport activities by managing equipment, employee clock-ins, and gate assignments. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of equipment usage, tracking lost or damaged items, and coordinating employee schedules to optimize efficiency and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Management:

• Check in and out equipment for airport employees, ensuring proper documentation of each transaction.
• Keep track of equipment inventory and promptly report any discrepancies or shortages.
• Document and investigate incidents of lost, stolen, or damaged equipment, following established procedures for resolution.

Employee Timekeeping:

• Monitor employee clock-ins and clock-outs to ensure adherence to schedules.
• Address any discrepancies or issues with punctuality promptly and appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance and hours worked.

Activity Log Maintenance:

• Maintain a detailed log of all equipment transactions, employee activities, and gate assignments.
• Generate reports as needed to track trends, identify areas for improvement, and support decision-making processes.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all record-keeping tasks.

Gate Assignment Coordination:

• Dispatch employees to airline gates based on operational needs and scheduling requirements.
• Communicate effectively with airline staff and other relevant parties to coordinate gate assignments efficiently.
• Monitor gate activity and adjust assignments as necessary to accommodate changes in flight schedules or passenger traffic.

Available Shift(s): 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a valid drivers license or state ID and be able to pass a federal background check - must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
• Knowledge of airport operations and regulations is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• This position typically operates in an office environment within the airport terminal.
• May require occasional outdoor work and interaction with airport personnel and passengers.
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate operational needs.
