We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Analyst to join us on our journey to help us transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical cannabis market into a reality. The ideal hire will perform basic accounting functions such as general ledger account analysis, cost analysis, account reconciliation, posting, allocations, and fiscal control of inventory. Our Accounting Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining data storage, assessing database design, and gathering, organizing, and interpreting statistical and accounting information based on the data in the database.

Our Accounting Analyst will be based out of our location in St. Louis, MO. Full-time employees will receive medical benefits, paid time off and a competitive salary range starting at $55,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify and reconcile banking transactions;
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Assist with implementation of new ERP systems;
  • Maintain financial controls over inventory and related valuation;
  • Develop SOPs for the Accounting/Finance department;
  • Oversight and coordination of company-wide operations file storage;
  • Continuously analyze sales market and applicable business and industry trends
  • Provide needed information to outside CPA firm for interim and yearend audits, requests from banks, and reporting for government/regulatory requirements;
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounts receivable reports and balance due collections efforts;
  • Process accounts payable transactions and electronically store supporting documents;
  • Post payroll entries
  • Operate computer spreadsheets to record, store, and analyze financial information;
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions;
  • Designs and implements secure, efficient, and accurate databases;
  • Maintains current and accurate knowledge of data storage and management best practices;
  • Ensures that databases are designed to meet specifications and requirements at the lowest possible costs;
  • Ensures that database projects are completed on time and within estimated costs;
  • Develops and maintains documentation and standards;
  • Gathers, organizes, and interprets statistical data from the database to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper management;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year accounting experience with a multi-million-dollar organization;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and flexible working in an ever-changing business environment;
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers, and ability to take a hands on approach to daily tasks;
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (including familiarity with complex formulas and pivot tables) and other proprietary software;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Docs, and file storage systems;
  • Posses customer service oriented/negotiation skills;
  • Able to work closely with other key personnel throughout the company.

Environment:

This position requires the ability to work seated for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position may require travel up to 50% of the time.
