About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to lead and manage its fund development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and diversifying the organization's funding base, inspiring a culture of philanthropy, and nurturing relationships with individual, foundation, and corporate donors. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's mission to eliminate homelessness among families with children by providing housing, supportive services, and advocacy. The VP of Development will work closely with the President & CEO and the Board of Directors to execute a strategic plan that focuses on disrupting intergenerational homelessness and centering financial sustainability for families.Candidates for this position should have a minimum of five years of major-gift fundraising experience, including direct stewardship of Boards of Directors, and a proven track record of growing an annual fund and securing new and increased major gifts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional management, organizational, and financial skills, as well as a strong interpersonal and communication skill set. A Bachelor's degree is required, and the role demands a passionate individual committed to the mission of the company, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. The VP of Development will be expected to lead a team, prepare fundraising strategies, and ensure that all philanthropic activities are in line with the organization's values and plans.
