We are seeking hard-working, motivated, and energetic individuals to work for a wood pallet logistics site. The positions available under General Production Laborer are Pallet Sorter (manual), Box Sorter, RPC Sorter, and Material Handler. The position requires constant standing, bending, stooping, walking, and the ability to lift and handle material with weights up to 75 pounds or more frequently (if working with Pallets) or 35 pounds frequently (if working with Boxes or RPCs). This position does require the ability to do repetitive work.

1455 SW Feedville Rd Hermiston, OR 97838

Work Scheude:

• 3rd Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm (Th-Sat) & Monday: 3:30 pm - 2:00 am

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs (250 to 300 times a day)
• Ability to sort pallets by hand in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Inspect pallets while sorting to ensure criteria is met and maintain established rate per man-hour
• Must be 18 years of age to work in a warehouse
• Ability to pass background and drug test
• Ability to stand 8 hours a day

Role overview & responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Pallet Sorter is responsible for removing debris from and manually sorting pallets by type and condition to meet the requirements of Propak standards and production goals. Type criteria may include color or manufacturer. Conditions may include criteria such as amount or extent of damaged or missing boards, raised or exposed nails, or blocks missing.

• Safely remove lodged or adjacent debris from incoming pallets.
• Sort pallets by hand in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Inspect pallets while sorting to ensure criteria are met.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
• Maintain established rate per hour to ensure productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Maintain safe working conditions by following guidelines and procedures for handling all related equipment and materials.
• Comply with all Propak policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations.
• Adjust as needed to new reporting relationships, work assignments, or work schedules to meet company needs and business requirements.
• Attendance at work is an essential function of this job.
• Cooperate and work well with team members and management.
