Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team. As a Referral Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the most efficient and timely processing of pending referrals. You will also be responsible for communicating with the sales department about referral status and providing daily oversight of all pending referrals. This is a fulltime position, on a Hybrid schedule, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri. It can be based out of New Providence, NJ or Lenexa, KS.

Requirements

• A college education (associate or bachelor’s degree) is preferred, but we will consider strong relevant experience in lieu of a college degree
• Must have strong PC skills, especially the MS Office suite 
• Previous experience with Brightree or CPR software, is a major advantage (although training will be provided)
• Previous experience with patient admissions and customer service in a similar referral source-based practice setting is strongly preferred
• Previous experience working with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and sales team is preferred

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

• Proactively communicate with the sales department about referral status
• Send Coordination Email each day on new cases received that day
• Send Coordination Emails for all pending cases M, W, F
• Send Coordination Emails when there is a critical update that the onboarding team needs to be aware of
• Work with internal departments to ensure the most efficient and timely processing of pending referrals
• Daily oversight of all pending referrals for you
• Reach out to departments for a response if there is a comment in PromptCare Connect (appian) that was directed to sales, nursing and/or pharmacy and it has gone unanswered
• Escalate to your manager if your request remains unanswered

Requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of 20 pounds but no more than 50 pounds.
