POSITION SUMMARY
The Occupational Health Nurse works to prevent, investigate, track and treat workplace-related illnesses and injuries. The Occupational Health Nurse assesses workplaces to identify possible hazards and educate employers and their employees on how to prevent injuries. They may also participate in development and implementation of policies and procedures designed to ensure workplaces comply with various State and Federal Agencies, including, but not limited to JCAHO, OSHA and applicable State Department of Health. The Occupational Health Nurse will provide care to adult workers including, but not limited to vaccinations, medical surveillance, injury management, drug and alcohol testing and health promotion.
