ProMedica is Hiring a Gift shop coordinator Near Coldwater, MI

ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital has been providing high-quality health care services to the Branch County community since 1939.

Located in Coldwater, Michigan, ProMedica Coldwater has 71 acute medical beds and 16 adult psychiatric beds to care for patients and their families.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Has both internal and external contacts. The most common internal contacts are with all staff, volunteers, and the Hospital Auxiliary.

The most frequent external contacts are with hospital visitors and vendors. Both types of interactions involve information exchange, good customer service and problem solving.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the management and coordination of all activities related to the Gift Shop. Provides direction for buying, maintaining an ample supply of inventory on hand and purchases products in a timely manner.

Responsible for managing the financial aspects of the Gift Shop. Performs duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Communicates new policies and procedures to all staff members. Is responsible for performing job duties within institutional guidelines.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise*

1. Prepares goals and objectives. Develops and implements a policies and procedures manual for the Gift Shop. 5%

2. Supervises the Gift Shop volunteers. Responsible for scheduling the volunteers. Responsible for professional nurturing of volunteers. 20%

3. Manages fiscal responsibility efficiently. Ensures the preparation, monitoring and management of the Gift Shop budget.

Keeps Direct Report informed of any unexpected developments within the budget. Prepares monthly and annual financial reports to be presented to the Direct Report as well as the Auxiliary at the monthly Auxiliary meeting. 10%

4. Responsible for annual physical inventory report, as required. 5%

5. Responsible for maintaining and timely reporting of Employee Payroll Deductions purchases. 5%

6. Directs and coordinates the quality and selection of merchandise that is deemed appropriate. Sets buying and pricing policies and procedures.

Ensures good inventory management control and shelf organization. 35%

7. Plans, schedules, organizes, and presents special events, and promotions (, hospital t-shirt sales, promotional events, etc. 10%

8. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education : High School diploma or equivalent

Skills : Cash register, computer, email

Years of Experience : Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and business practices, including cash register operation and reconciliation of bank statements.

Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control and effective staffing procedures. Good organizational and communication skills.

License : Ohio Driver’s license

Certification : N / A

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field

Skills : same as above

Years of Experience : Previous management experience in a retail setting

License : Same as above

Certification : N / A
