Summary

The FP&A Manager will provide oversight and leadership of operational planning work and analysts performing that work, including the creation of the company’s annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and long-term plans, preparation of detailed financial analysis against budgeted, forecasted and prior period results, and development of KPIs that provide management with analytical tools to establish goals and measure the performance of the company. This role will act as a financial business partner to cross-functional areas of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate and reconcile monthly, quarterly, yearly financials.
  • Supply critical components to monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development of financial data collection and measurement tools.
  • Partner in all financial matters relating to forecasting, planning, performance reporting and analytics.
  • Identify, track and analyze key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, including revenue, sales pipelines, cost of sales and operating expenses.
  • Work closely with practice leads, to lead the development of regular forecasts, annual budget, long-term strategic plans, and provide insights to the leadership teams relating to the financial models and assumptions used.
  • Contribute to/lead ad-hoc financial analysis (scenario planning for new and existing business lines, staffing metrics, margin analysis, to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Interpret and communicate results and strategic recommendations to business stakeholders, including the Executive team, through the delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Support the reporting and analysis of the consolidated figures, pertaining to month end results, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across all levels of the organization to improve financial results.
  • Partner with the Finance team on month end activities, reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy of entries

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required •
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of relevant financial experience; including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and modeling
  • Strong time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, analytical, and use critical and thinking to solve complex problems.
  • Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills in order to establish key partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Skills & Abilities

  • Expert Excel knowledge.
  • Power BI experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics BC experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to delegate and manage direct reports
