STOREROOM CLERK POSITION$18hr

Schedule / Shift : M-R, 6 : 30am-5pmRequirements :

HS diploma or GED not required, but preferred

Forklift exp -stand up and / or sit down, minimal ok. Qualify with FL assessment-2 % of the job

Physically capable of Lifting 25-60#s, some items up to 80#’s using lean and roll technique

Basic Inventory and computer exp with Inventory systems

STEEL TOES REQUIRED (shoe covers available until someone can get them)

The Inventory Clerk keeps track of the goods and supplies in a store or warehouse and manages orders to facilitate sales or production.

Their duties include signing off on shipments, stocking inventory, keeping accurate count on the number of available products.

Kitting for work orders and assembling / shipping customer parts orders. Reporting parts to be ordered when their stock levels are low.

Must have reasonable computer skills and problem-solving abilities. Be motivated, capable of working independently, goal oriented, and pay attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Inventory Clerk : duties and responsibilities

Inventory Clerks record inventory for the company so that items are accurately stocked and stored where they belong. Some of their daily responsibilities include :

  • Receiving shipments and verification the products received are correct.
  • Stocking shelves with incoming product to the designated area each item is kept.
  • Kitting, assembling, and shipping customer parts orders.
  • Kitting work orders for production floor.
  • Reporting discrepancies in inventory levels that could indicate theft, error in receiving, parts not accounted for in work orders, etc.
  • Spot check inventory counts to maintain accuracy in inventory levels reported in the system.
  • Assist in packaging shipments from the production line.

Storeroom Clerk

Receiving / Stocking

o Define Receiving is the accounting of all received goods against the packing list and then entering that information into the system.

Stocking is putting those goods away in the proper bin / shelf location.

Packing Lists

o Define Using the Daily Assembly Log you will use the system to provide packing lists for all orders on the log and deliver them to the Plant Manager.

Maintain a Scrap Log for the Stockroom

o Define A specific location should be set up in the stockroom for defective or broken parts.

  • All stockroom employees may fill out this form, but Employee A will be accountable for a weekly verification of the parts listed on the scrap report against what is in the scrap bin.
  • Upon verification of ALL scrap parts, you will consult with the Director of Operations regarding disposal or return of said parts.
  • Kitting

o Define Using the Order Paperwork for both Ferro and High Frequency chargers you will use the provided bins and kit each order (provide the specific parts needed to assemble that order per the stockroom procedures and training).

Parts Orders / Assembly Orders

o Define You will assemble all parts orders, get secondary verification for parts orders, package and ship the parts per order specifications.

For Assembly Orders you will pull together the parts requested per the order forms and send those parts upstairs.

Provide shorted Kit Parts to the floor as they arrive.

o Define For all kits sent to the floor with missing parts a note of 1) Order No., 2) Part No., and 3) Quantity Needed should be made in the stockroom.

As those parts arrive, they should be distributed to that order in its current location on the line.

Packaging

o Define As time allows you should assist in the packaging / shipping area for completed chargers.

Providing replacement for broken parts.

o Define Assemblers may encounter a defective part or occasional break a part. You will provide them with the replacement and then fill out the scrap report to account for the bad part.

  • Assembler’s name should be listed on the scrap report for each part they turn in, if a pattern emerges with continued breakage of the same part, please notify the Plant Manager as this could signify the need for additional training.
