Proman Staffing is Hiring a Material Handler Near Somerset, NJ
Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks which require a thorough knowledge of materials, tools, and equipment. This position requires someone that can work independently from a printed schedule with minimal supervision.
Essential functions:
- Responsible removing completed pallets from all machines
- Stacking of finished cartons onto pallets
- Move materials from and to WIP locations
- Filling assembly machines with WIP
- Performing line clearance on all assembly machines
- Assists Conair Technician with line clearance on all molding machines.
- Available to assist with all scheduled plant inventory events
- Relieves operators during lunches and breaks
o Inspection of product before placing into appropriate carton
o Grinding of runners
- Responsible for the accurate documentation of inventory items
o Scanning to the machines properly
o Scanning from the machines properly
- Other duties as assigned.
- Obtain Fork truck certification (Certification required within 1 week of start date / offered by Mold-Rite Plastics)
- Fork truck
- Bendi style fork truck
- Electric pallet jack / material movers
Position requirements: **
- HS diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment in the capacity of material handler or shipping
- Basic computer skills( Excel, Word)- Job will require extensive use of hand scanning devices
- Basic math skills
- Detail oriented, good communication skills, able to manage projects as assigned
- Willing to work flexible hours, overtime and be on-call
- Proficiency in English – read, write, understand and speak fluently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
