Prolium is Hiring a Safety Advisor (NSCO) Near Edmonton, KY

Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades.

Prolium is currently searching for a Safety Advisor to work in Cromer Manitoba. Project is estimated for 1.5 Month, with potential for work after. 

The position requires the worker to get to Virden, Manitoba acquire an Airbnb or Hotel. Start date of job will be June.10.2024, you will be required to be in Virden, on June.9.2024. Transportation from Virden to site will be provided depending on where your Airbnb is. Work Hours are 10-hour days. 2 Hitches, First one is between 18-20 days long and the next one will be 10-15 days long.

Contractor rate will be $40.00

Employee $32.00-$35.00 Plus OT (Negotiable depending on Experiance).

LOA is $190.00

  • Vehicle from site to virden will be provided.
  • Laptop, Printer and Office supplies will be provided.

Duties:

  • Coach and mentor field workers
  • Enforce company safety policy and work procedures.
  • Cooperate with Site Superintendent to complete all necessary investigations and ensure that no one can be exposed to unsafe conditions or unsafe activities.
  • Provide Health & Safety functional leadership, mentor ship and guidance to site operations and management personnel.
  • Set a positive example for safety across the site to promote proactive safety activities from all staff.
  • Respond to issues relating to health, safety, environment, emergency response, performance metrics and safety management systems for site operations.
  • Ensure our site complies with relevant safety legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct daily health & safety inspections and maintain records.
  • Carry out safety corrective actions because of site inspections, investigations, or compliance requirements.
  • Attend, participate and / or facilitate safety meetings.
  • Schedule and organize safety training and orientations.
  • Review subcontractor’s safety programs and provide ongoing assistance to subcontractors.
  • Administer first aid services to all personnel on the work site, as necessary.
  • Carryout other relevant duties as assigned.

Ability:

  •  Able to climb into a tank via hatch point
  • being on your knees for a small period of time due to height of IFR (Internal Floating Roof)
  • Being in the field for 70% of the time and 20% in the office

Requirements:

  • H2S Alive or Awareness
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry and/or Rescue
  • CSTS 2020/CSO
  • WHMIS 2019
  • First Aid with AED
  • NCSO Certification is Mandatory and will be verified.
  • CSA Steel toed boots and Hard hat are required. All other PPE is provided. (Gloves, coveralls, safety glasses). 
  • transportation to get to Site
