Purpose of Position:

Provides supervision of personnel and daily tasks related to fuels operations. Supervisors the fuel receipts, accountability, issue, storage, security, and periodic inspections. Maintains the fuel reconstitution production schedules to meet customer requirements. Reviews fuel reconstitution production, periodic maintenance, and inventory reports to ensure timely and accurate submissions. Provides guidance on environmental issues as they relate to fuel assets. Responsible for the execution of logistical plans, policies, and procedures necessary to provide support in the logistics areas of supply, transportation, maintenance, and services.

Ensures periodic tests of fuels are accomplished in accordance with various regulations to ensure they meet military specifications.

Tracks the issuing of Fuels, ensuring personnel are available to service the customers.

Conducted investigations, collects data, analyzes the problem, and submits written finding on cause of leaks, loss, damage, etc., and recommended corrective action to the appropriate management level.

Attends staff meetings and provides management reports and briefings, as required.

Answers inquiries from management and sites concerning various customer requests and external agencies.

Provide assistance, guidance, and coordination on revisions of Fuels maintenance actions in response to changes in customer publications, technical orders and the PWS.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Associate degree in logistics management or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience:

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Fuels maintenance

· Minimum of five (5) years of management required.

· Two (2) years of customer headquarters experience preferred

Field of Expertise:

· Experience and competent in the operations of the Fuel Automated System required

· MOS 92F Army Fuel Handler Course Preferred

Skills; Administrative:

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Capable of organizing data quickly and effectively.

· Able to prepare and execute briefings.

· Knowledge of the customer fuel management system.

· Knowledge of customer’s fueling and operating procedures for fuels operational readiness capability desired.

· Knowledge of Fuels industrial safety, quality, environmental procedures, material deficiency reporting, and the customer supply system required.

· Proficiency in Microsoft software applications required.

· Proficiency with GCSS Army or similar systems is highly desirable.

Supervisory Experience:

· Three (3) years

Unique Qualifications:

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a military operator’s permit for each type of vehicle or equipment required to operate.

· Must have a valid DOT class "A" State Driver's License with endorsements of Tanker, Hazardous, and TSA background check.

· Must be a United States citizen or be authorized to work in the United States.

· Must possess a DOD Secret clearance or ability to acquire it.

· Must be able to work a Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Monday schedule.

· May be required to work holidays

Physical Factors

Physical Demands:

· Able to work with petroleum products.

· Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.

· Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

· Must be able to operate a computer and a phone

· Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

· Lift 50lbs
