Loring Nicollet Alternative School (LNAS) & Minnesota Employment Readiness Curriculum (MERC): LNAS & MERC are two contract alternative schools operated by Project for Pride in Living, serving students generally 17-21 years old who have not succeeded in traditional school environments. Both schools take pride in providing a relationship based approach to education where school is considered a safe place for students. Small class sizes with multi-age students, encouragement of youth voice, respect, structure, work based learning, support services, and mental health resources allow for students to be successful. LNAS & MERC staff are committed to meeting each student where they are at and working together with them to identify future goals beyond their High School graduation.
Work Schedule: This position is a part-time, benefit eligible position. Work hours consist of 20-30 hours/week following school hours of 8:00am - 2:00 pm.
Position Description:
This position will coordinate and manage PPL's School Nutrition Program (SNP) at both of PPL's Alternative High Schools (LNAS & MERC) located in South Minneapolis. This position will also be responsible for providing morning Front Desk support at LNAS. The Receptionist & School Food Program Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Director of Education, LNAS & MERC Lead Teachers, and the schools' Job's for America's Graduates (JAG) Coordinators.
The ideal candidate for this position is committed to providing excellent customer service to guests, students, and staff while monitoring compliance and efficacy with PPL's school lunch programs.
Job duties and responsibilities include:

Reception, Front Desk Support at LNAS (.2FTE):
This position will supervise student interns in partnership with their JAG instructors. Student interns will work as lunch and breakfast servicer in our school lunch programs.
