Are you a passionate learner working toward a bachelor’s in civil or structural engineering? Interested in learning about bridge inspection? Ready to build your resume on real-world civil engineering projects while learning from the industry’s top talent?

Join Consor as a student intern! With the goal of one day becoming a full-time employee, you’ll have a chance to work on the same projects our entry-level staff tackle, just with extra support and supervision from experienced engineering teammates and supervisors.

This internship is collaborative in nature—collaboration is one of Consor’s core values after all—and gives students the chance to work on transportation or water infrastructure-related civil engineering work with ample opportunities to exercise a variety of methods, techniques, potential solutions, and more.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in load rating analysis of in-service bridges
• Assist with in-service bridge inspections on various project sites
• Prepare bridge inspection field books and reports
• Participate in a mix of field and office work, with the potential for overnight project travel
• Perform work that involves conventional types of plans, methods, and solutions with low to moderate complex features
• Perform basic engineering analysis, design, and detailing of project plans and construction material quantities
• Conduct other duties as required, which may include administrative (non-engineering) duties (filing, answering phones, assisting with business related projects or tasks)

Required Credentials

• Qualified candidates should be studying at an ABET-accredited university, have upper-level division coursework under their belt
