The Peer Support Coordinator (PSC) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Peer Support offered through various programs at Project ABLE. This role is the front face of the organization to the participants and volunteers and needs to have customer service and community building as a top priority in everything they do. The role needs to be a helpful coach empowering volunteers to build connections with the people they support and create an inviting atmosphere that volunteers and participants want to be part of. This role involves assigning volunteers to individuals in need of Peer Support, ensuring the program's effective functioning, and actively providing peer support.
Additionally, the Peer Support Coordinator is responsible for conducting outreach, and providing administrative support as needed.

Assign volunteers to individuals for Peer Support in your program.
· Ensure accurate and on-time reporting for all programs
· Provide regular and in-depth updates about program scope, schedule, and costs associated with activities to management.

Facilitate Quality Peer Support
· Actively identify opportunities to connect with peers visiting Project ABLE and provide appropriate support
· Recruit, screen, interview all volunteers to assess suitability
· Attend weekly peer support specialist meetings, and staff meetings
· Make monthly check-ins to all Volunteers to coach toward quality peer support. This conversation should include a check-in on each support relationship under this person – a conversation with the PSS about how they are doing and feeling about peer support and boundaries – letting them know about upcoming events and new/interesting groups they might be interested in inviting their peers to – brainstorming ways to be invitational with peers around new activities - and checking in on administrative issues such as PSS expiration date, CEUs, PSS/Volunteer meeting attendance, Credentialling/Paperwork needs.
· Make bi-annual calls to Peers receiving support to ensure volunteer is suitable and working. This should not feel like a checkup on the PSS – but rather just a way of ensuring this line of communication is open between the rest of ABLE and this person. A chance to see if there are things, we offer that they are interested in.
· Provide interim Peer Support for individuals not yet connected to a peer

Provide outreach support
· Distribute Project ABLE promotional information and activity calendars throughout the community
· Build and maintain relationships with community partners. Sign them up to our outreach lists and have reasonable
· Attend community meetings representing ABLE with approval from Chief of Staff
· Staff ABLE tables at events and activities, as assigned

Provide administrative support
· Answer phones and/or staff the reception desk as needed
· Provide filing, data entry, and light housekeeping as needed
· Work with other Project ABLE staff and volunteers to maintain a clean, welcoming office environment.
