Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager looking for a new adventure or an opportunity to advance your career? We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team and work directly under the supervision of a proHNS Principal Engineer on heavy civil infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, marine facilities, airports, and utility improvements. Ideal candidates will have experience managing projects and contracts for State, Federal and Tribal Agency clients. This position has the freedom to work remotely, or from our Juneau, AK office, with occasional short-duration travel to project sites and client offices. The Senior Construction Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget and in accordance with an approved scope of work. This person will be responsible for client relationships, owner representation, and supervising field staff, while ensuring deliverables are on time and in accordance with project specifications and firm policies.

Keys to Success:

  • Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with proHNS policies & procedures.
  • Oversees a team of engineers, inspectors, sub-consultants, and other representatives.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
  • Will ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Alaska DOT&PF (or similar State Transportation Agency), FHWA, FAA, and/or Tribal Transportation Program is a plus.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Offer solutions that result in meeting deliverable due dates, firm budgets, professional service requirements, and Client expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Oracle, or similar.
  • Proficiency with critical path method scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, Construction Management, or Engineering, required.
  • Professional engineer licensure preferred but not required.
  • At least ten years of related experience required.
  • PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications are highly desirable.

Expectations:

  • The typical work schedule is 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Employees are required to have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime when needed, and attending after-hour events such as local government public meetings.
  • Ability to work seamlessly in a teamwork setting with staff working from multiple locations.
  • Willingness and ability to perform site visits in a variety of outdoor settings and climate conditions.
  • Ability to occasionally travel away from home for short periods of time using commercial airlines, smaller airplanes, helicopters, or boats.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The employee is required to talk, hear and regularly required to stand, walk and use hands.

Compensation and Benefits:

Employees receive a competitive benefit package including access to our Medical Insurance plans with the employer paying 100% of the employee plan. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% contribution from the employer. Additionally, employees also receive paid time off and eight paid holidays. Eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Hourly wage, $70 per regular hour DOE ($145,600 annually and up). Eligible for overtime wages at 1.5x regular wage.
