For this position, we are looking for an experienced MA (Medical Assistant) to join our growing company. We are looking for skilled MA (Medical Assistant) to become a part of our facility’s compassionate care-giving team. The MA will interact directly with patients, nursing teams, and our Physicians.

Responsibilities

· Turns or reposition bedridden patients.

· Provides physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities.

· Reviews patients' dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure patient receives appropriate diet.

· Records vital signs, as directed by medical or nursing staff.

· Gathers information about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities.

· Observes or examines patients to detect symptoms that may require medical attention.

· Documents or otherwise reports observations of patient behavior, complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.

· Reminds patients to take medications or nutritional supplements.

· Working alongside a wound care Physician

· Assisting a wound care Physician in treating wounds

· The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

· Traveling to multiple facilities

· Getting supplies for the Physician

· Documenting encounters

Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent

· State Medical Assistant Certification

· Experience:

· Have at least two years of related experience

· Understanding wound card terminology

· Working in nursing facilities is a plus

· Comfortable using a computer and different forms of technology
