Progyny is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the quality of our software products through the design and execution of automated tests. Your expertise in various technologies, including Salesforce, Amazon Web Services, and Python, will be pivotal in shaping the testing frameworks and strategies. As a key player in our Agile team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business and customer needs.

What you'll do
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand business and product requirements.
Design and execute test strategies and test plans.
Create automation to assist testing processes and provide faster feedback to developers.
Provide support to Engineering, DevOps, and internal teams through testing, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
Document defects, conduct code reviews, and assist in diagnosing and testing fixes.
Drive quality improvements using automation, metrics, and data-driven processes.
Understand and contribute to the interconnectivity of engineering components.
Actively participate in Agile Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.
About you...
8 years of industry experience in software testing.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience with testing Salesforce
Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks
Experience with database testing
Proficient in API testing
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools (Selenium, Postman, Cypress, etc.), and processes.
Hands-on experience with both functional and non-functional testing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure, with strong organizational and decision-making skills.
Experience with Docker is a plus.
Experience with version control - ideally Git and GitHub, is a plus.
Experience with AWS Lambda or similar serverless computing is a plus.
Agile/Scrum environment experience is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Python is a plus, but not required.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $145,000 - $155,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
