JOB TITLE : Full-Time Medical Assistant Spine Surgeon Support

SUMMARY : The Medical Assistant will provide comprehensive support to a spine surgeon, ensuring efficient and effective patient care in various locations throughout South New Jersey.

The role requires travel to Brick, Cherry Hill, and Somers Point with the physician to provide direct assistance in clinical settings.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist physician in examination and treatment of patients, including but not limited to taking vital signs, recording patient medical history, and preparing treatment rooms ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures, both in person and over the phone, and assist with patient check-in and registration.
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, medications, and treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, handling insurance forms, etc.
  • Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, including those related to patient confidentiality and safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments / procedures; conducts interviews with patients, measures vital signs, and records information.
  • Receives and screens telephone calls.
  • Coordinates patient flow.
  • Travel with physician to satellite locations as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations with the physician.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are always required.
