Progressive PHP - HRO is Hiring a PRN Therapist, Licensed (PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW) PRN Weekends Near Zachary, LA

PRN WEEKEND SHIFT POSITION

Position Summary: The Licensed Therapist is responsible for providing direct clinical services to include individual, family, and group extensive psychotherapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning to patients to further the patient’s progress in treatment, according to Progressive PHP’s mission, goals, and philosophy of care.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):


Education:
Must have a master’s degree in social work or related field. Must be in the process or have already obtained a license. Must have one of the following: PLPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW. Must maintain certifications in CPR and CPI while employed. Work experience: Experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field preferred, but not required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to work with a dually diagnosed patient population. Should be computer literate. Completes assignments accurately, in a timely manner and within procedural guidelines. Organizes and prioritizes work. Interpersonal Skills: Must possess good interpersonal skills to develop rapport with patients, their family members, and referral sources. Must be able to work cooperatively with in-house physicians, and administrative, clinical and support staff members. Displays self-direction by seeking solutions to problems. Seeks out and offers new ideas for improving processes. Deals constructively with stress. General Performance Criteria: Displays willingness to help others. Uses appropriate customer etiquette, e.g., telephone, conversation, demeanor, etc. Takes directions well, accepts constructive criticism and responds accordingly. Respects customer’s co-worker’s and organization’s confidentiality. Follow policies/procedures such as appearance, dress, safety, appropriate patient/staff interactions, etc. Works positively with both internal and external customers.

Essential Job Duties: Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of licensing and certification boards in a timely fashion and as outlined in Progressive PHP’s mission, The Joint Commission standards, and Performance Improvement monitors: Plans, conducts, and supervises individual, family, and/or group therapy. Assesses assigned patients; completes the Social Work/Therapist sections of the Multidisciplinary Integrated Assessment (MIA) within three treatment days. Complete a clinical formulation (integrated summary) within five treatment days. Participate in discharge and aftercare planning for patients and aid patients in seeking therapeutic resources and placement. Plan and arrange admissions to special care facilities as indicated by the individual patient’s needs, upon physician’s request. Coordinate and make necessary contacts with available community resources to ensure continuity of care for patients. Maintain routine contacts with patient’s family or significant others as allowed by signed consent. Encourage and routinely update release of information as needed to encourage support system contacts. Communicate and comply with legal entities/probation/parole officers/court schedules and other outside agencies on behalf of patients, per patient request or court mandates.

Participates as an active member of treatment team, delivering timely services: Attends treatment team meetings, reports, and documents on progress and planned goals/objectives related to patient assignment. Formulates and provides services which facilitate patient progress toward goals outlined on master treatment plan. Documents all services rendered daily in patient medical record. Develops, plans, and provides in-services for multi-disciplinary community/staff as assigned by supervisor. Actively participate in staff development Provide on-call coverage when assigned.

Participates in the Performance Improvement process: Reviews and complies with policies and procedures. Promotes confidentiality. Gathers assigned performance improvement data monthly and submits to supervisor; if so assigned, also interprets results of data, and facilitates necessary interventions.

Other duties as assigned/required Complies with licensing and/or certification boards as authorized by the State of Louisiana
